The story of wiping the world (Political)

COMRADES, citizens, brothers and sisters, men of our Army and Navy!
My words are addressed to you, dear friends!

Shamelessly stolen from LeJoris ' article, credits go to him

Welcome. You've just made it to the end. You're witnessing the pinnacle of our group's dedication, the making of history and even a curtain call of sorts.

Since the early days of Secura server, our core group has been gaming together in Secura, Suna and in various temporary servers. We have had tons of fun, become friends both in game and face to face. Still many of us have unfortunately since departed and quitted e-sim due to real life affairs and such, but your deeds will be remembered. Back in September Comrade 1 messaged a handful of the corest of core of our loose friend group to recruit them for something that no one had ever done before. We had already practically done everything that is possible in the game as regulars or even semi-pros, so Comrade 1 thought it would be in order to stop rolling around aimlessly and go out(?) with a bang. So was the idea to wipe the world born. This goes for yerm. For ouzobat. For Enkeli. and so many others who didn't make it to the end.

===

It's almost funny. We even told our intentions beforehand for the whole world. During the first day. Yet nobody took us seriously. Nations in Balkan formed a disproportionately strong alliance within the first week of the server, attaining all the attention to them. This allowed Mother Russia to establish a foothold roughly along the borders of the old Soviet Union. That was the time when the Balkan Bastards decided that Russia was a threat to their dominance. So we were, and, to be honest, the timing of the Bastardite attack was perfect in a sense. We were yet to establish a total dominance. Our NPC storage was sizeable but not overtly powerful nor endless. On top of that, we were still but a lone nation against the biggest dogs in the server. Respect when respect is due, there was indeed a big possibility we would see our downfall already so soon in the server.

I didn't plan to mention too many names here as some great men would inevitably not fit in here, but there is exactly one guy in charge of our NPC's and sniping them from our enemies. Thanks to SichiRonoa , Russia continuously had the upper hand in fights, as the enemy lacked the lost NPC's taken by Sichi. Starving the enemy city worked great for Genghis khan, so why not for us too?

In the end, the Balkan Bastards weren't able to recruit other big nations to help them against us. Others deemed Bastards as a big enough threat for their selves to not help the Bastards against Russia, which wasn't at the time aggressive towards, for example, Namibia. Nevertheless, to be completely honest, Russia was two or three lost rounds away from a complete collapse at that point against the Bastards. Had a couple more nations joined the Bastards against Russia, we would have crumbled, bigly. This leads us to the bigger theme of the article and a crucial part of our success: Public Relations.

Media, propaganda, PR, communication, messaging, narrative
A beloved child has many names. I could have filled this article only with quotes from Sun Tzu, but I doubt many of you would have gotten all the references. A decent PR team to help a nation is pretty much vital. You can judge how Russia fared in regards to it, but I'd say we did quite well.

One of the cornerstones of our media was the ancient saying "divide et impera", divide and rule. That worked better than I ever could have imagined. Playing different alliances and nations against each other ensured that there would never be a broad based, united coalition opposing us, at least before it was too late, as the Balkan Bastards noticed I think. First, we engaged in an information war and targeted communication against the Bastardite alliance. It was all true, though, but with a definitive spin of narrative. From time to time perhaps a too easily seen one.

After the draining conflict with Bastards, we found ourselves in a situation where we had cleaned up majority of the small and insignificant nations (like Armenia) from our borders - yet we really didn't want to engage in another full-frontal conflict with a major alliance, Vendetta, again so soon, as we probably wouldn't have made it. For that reason we again had to engage in some communication , had Namibia been seen as an aggressor in the inevitable conflict, we figured the alliance wouldn't be as keen to help them against Russia who already had an upper hand against the whole alliance together too. Turns out the targeted media worked out pretty well, and the support from Vendetta to Namibia was rather low in the end.

By now, at last, the overall context of the Russian determined advance and existential threat to the whole world was seen by pretty much all nations. Some nations like Mexico democratically decided to cooperate and join us for their own good (that was extremely successful, they get drops, supplies and were the last to be conquered), but some the rest decided to fight to the bitter end, as expected. This happened in the form of "world war" , where it was basically Russia and his friend nations against the whole world. This initiative was more or less the last chance of the separate nation states to prevent the upcoming Russian liberation, though the biggest steam had alreadyevaporated from the movement against Russia.

From that point onwards, rolling forward was executed without any bigger challenge, as the resources of the opposition were ever-dwindling when compared to those of Russia and associates. "Biggest" obstacles left were the infrequent but happening breaches to our national organization. As the opposition couldn't beat Russia conventionally anymore, some of them chose to resort in rather unfair tactics, downgrading our companies and sending our stacked supplies to the opposition to name a few. In vain, though. I briefly touched the matter in here .

This is it folks. The biggest reason for our success - apart from tireless company management and organization by certain of our comrades - were you guys, our enemies: Thank you for playing as we thought you would play, for demonstrating that it indeed is possible to control vast populations with a mere discourse so efficiently, as Michel Foucault wrote in his time.

Yours, now and always,
Comrade 26

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
