Long Awaited Congress Elections Finally Here

After what has seemed like a very long month the congressional elections are finally here and set to take place tomorrow with polls opening in just over 20 hours. With what has seemed like declining activity rates for Japan rising it was more than a little surprising that quite a few have thrown there hat in the ring and it is easy to say there are quite a few expectations riding on this election as some see it as a make or break for Japan. With right at 42 citizens currently Japan is one of the smaller E-Sim countries as this time but with 26 candidates in the running it is a certainty that Japan will have a full congress post-election.

Everyone remember to vote and best of luck to all the candidates.

Former Japan National MU leader and CEO of Stock Company Banned

One of Japans more prominent figures has been permanently banned. Sometime over the last 24-48 hours former Japan National MU leader and Owner/CEO of Japans only stock company Rubik Cube SAC (all 444 of his stocks are up for grabs at 3.15 each...just saying) Mustang apparently was caught forcing debts an offense that while very vague is apparently punishable by ban. Thus far it is noted the national MU has turned leadership over to the Ministry of Defense and the stock company has voted to remove him as CEO and is currently voting in a new CEO Usterized it is unknown how the vote will go but if you would like to find out you can go here.

Poll Question: Should SGOs,GOs and other game staff be allowed to play the game?

While going through shouts and other newspapers earlier I came across an article by El Barto which if you have not read it I encourage you to (E-Sim Not Clear Rules ) as it brings up some rather good points as well as gives some good examples as well on the vagueness of some rules as well as brings to question the impartiality or lack of by some of the games staff. I myself have had a friend who for a brief while was part of the staff and he informed me on many rules I never even new existed concerning Orgs and running governments and some just daily stuff. E-sim provides us with a basic list of rules/laws which you can find at the bottom of the page but be warned the 17 laws listed are just the tip of a very large iceberg waiting to sink anyone who may cross the line. But back to the question should staff be allowed to play the game? I can see where it can be beneficial for spotting glitches and such but I can see where it could and can on occasion cause conflicts of interest. Over the last year or so of playing I have witnessed both the best and worst in staff members, some are more than happy to help while others ignore you, mute you, fine you or even ban you for simple infractions. I know it is likely not easy having to deal with a multitude of issues that can happen in a standard day of e-sim and I respect staff for there patience and/or understanding when they have it and yes sometimes I even understand when they lose that patience but the question is should they be allowed to be part of something they are meant to over see. In some ways it almost seems like giving a teachers aid the same test as the class and giving them the answer book to use. So what do you think? Vote at the top or write in the comments.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
